Orders received this way will appear the same as any other sale for sellers, and there won&#8217;t be any additional fees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People using ChatGPT to shop will see an option to \u2018buy\u2019 when suggested products can be bought in the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The functionality currently only allows people based in the US to buy one item at the checkout, but OpenAI is planning to expand to multi-item baskets. Other merchants including Shopify and different regions are set to follow next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rafe Colburn, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Etsy said: \u201cAI-powered and agentic shopping present meaningful opportunities for the unique items on Etsy to shine. The \u2018AI agent\u2019 follows an initial command and then will go through the full buying process for you, from research and price comparison to making a payment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-show-up-in-chatgpt\">How to show up in ChatGPT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">OpenAI explained how ChatGPT chooses what products to show users: \u201cWhen ranking multiple merchants that sell the same product, ChatGPT considers factors like availability, price, quality, whether a merchant is the primary seller, and whether instant checkout is enabled, to optimise the user experience.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interestingly, this could mean the feature is likely to favour sellers with their own products over anyone who&#8217;s dropshipping, for example. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"nba-body-001\">\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-match-what-consumers-are-asking-for\">Match what consumers are
