Dae It Yersel has been crowned the winner of Britain\u2019s Best Small Business Name 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harpreet Kaur helped us judge the 2,000+ incredible entries we received<\/strong> \u2013 which led to Dae It Yerself winning the public vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To celebrate the wit and creativity of small businesses, we\u2019ve been searching for the best small business name in Britain each year since 2022. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDae it Yersel<\/em> has been family-owned since my mother, father, and then-20-year-old brother took over a tiny wee DIY shop in 1970<\/strong>. I’ve been around the shop since I was 3 and used to spend my after-school hours and school holidays here. 
\u201cThe name is obviously the Glaswegian\/Scots version of \u2018Do It Yourself\u2019. For both myself and my nephew, who took over running the shop with me when my brother passed away, the shop has always been a part of our lives \u2013 it’s the heart and soul of the family. There have been many tough times, like losing my mum, dad, and brother to COVID, but there are far more rewarding times and lifelong friendships that have arisen from our years in Dae It Yersel<\/em>. We couldn\u2019t be more delighted to have won.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
