Either way, start small. Create your designs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For any clothing business, one of the most exciting stages is <a href=\"\/knowledge\/marketing\/tips-for-developing-a-product-a-simple-guide\/\" data-type=\"knowledge\" data-id=\"1072\" >product development<\/a>. This is probably what inspired you to start your own clothing brand to begin with. There are two main stages when you design your own clothing. The first is physically creating your design, the second is developing a \u2018tech pack\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your tech pack is the essential information you\u2019ll give to your manufacturer. It\u2019ll need to include your product\u2019s details and technical specifications, from design and measurements to materials and any extra accessories or features. From there, you\u2019ll need to get started on pattern making and grading, ahead of sourcing your manufacturer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to design clothes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But before you begin working with clothing manufacturers, you\u2019ll need to finalise your designs. Traditionally, fashion designers did this with pen and paper \u2013 and this is still a great way to work on ideas and create a first draft.
