This makes it clear to anyone who looks that you\u2019ve bought Instagram followers.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We asked Simply Business\u2019 Social Media Manager, Danielle Read, how to boost your engagement authentically \u2013 and not rely on purchased bots: \u201cA high follower count made up of purchased followers may make a business look successful or credible at a glance, but it only takes looking at one or two of your posts to see there\u2019s no real engagement.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe best way to increase your followers \u2013 and your engagement levels \u2013 is to post authentic, quality content which targets the interests of potential customers.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDo your research and look at what your competitors are doing. See what works and what doesn\u2019t. It may take a bit of trial and error but you\u2019ll see a genuine engagement level that you just won\u2019t get with bots.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Should you boost your posts on Instagram?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to invest money into your Instagram account in an attempt to grow your reach, we recommend boosting your posts. This allows you to turn one of your regular posts into an ad, showing it to more people outside of those who already follow you.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you choose to boost a post on Instagram, you\u2019ll be able to enter audience criteria to choose who your ad reaches. There are two ways to get verified on Instagram. The first is to <a href=\"https:\/\/help.instagram.com\/2419286908233223?helpref=faq_content\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">apply to Meta Verified<\/a>, which costs a monthly fee but gets you a verified badge.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, if you\u2019re a brand using a business Instagram account, you can also <a href=\"https:\/\/help.instagram.com\/312685272613322\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">apply for a verified badge<\/a>. One of the requirements to be verified on Instagram is to be a public account with a bio and profile picture \u2013 so make sure you go back and read our first tip before you apply for verification.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\t<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to schedule Instagram posts<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you really want to organically grow your Instagram following, then you\u2019ll need to be regularly posting quality content.
